Why do you charge a sitting fee?

My job is to capture the best possible images of my clients. This helps not putting a time restraint on sessions so I have taken that away. I shoot up to two hours, whether we use that time or not. We can take our time and capture quality over quantity and the price you are paying is purely for the time of shooting not the images. If you find after a session you feel like you didn't quite get what you wanted because you weren't comfortable yet, this is the ideal situation! I want you to look good and feel your best and that is why I do it this way.

Why do you charge for images separately from the session fee?

I retouch and edit each individual image from my sessions. A lot goes into it that clients don't realize and that is time consuming on the photographers end for 50+ images that you might not even care about. Why waste that time when we can put it towards a couple of AMAZING, knock out images. I allow my client to choose the images they want whether it is 2 or 20 images. YOU get to choose the images you LOVE and that you find are WORTH paying for because you want them and want to print and share them. I don't know about you but no one is sharing the 100 images from a family session, you are picking your top favorites to share. Why not let you choose and pay for the ones you want vs getting a bunch of images you might not want or need or get to choose from.

When do I get to choose my photos?

After our session is over, we will schedule a fun meeting at the studio or a local spot within two weeks from session date to choose the images you would like to purchase and have edited and printed.

If you aren't local we will do it virtually!

So how long are your sessions?

Every portrait session is alloted for up to two hours of shooting time whether we use the time or not. The fee is the same, always for any portrait session at $375.

Why type of portrait sessions do you shoot?

I create portraits indoors at my studio and outdoors or on location dependent on what you are looking for.

I shoot branding portraits, model portfolios, bridal boudoir, headshots, seniors, creative fashion projects, even product or real estate.

As a photographer I love challenging myself to shoot new things so if you have an idea I am all ears but I love people and have the passion of making people look and feel good through portrait photography.

Do I have to order prints through you and how much are they?

Glad you asked! Since I charge individually for the session and digital images, giving you the creative freedom to choose what you need, image pricing is based on retouch and editing needs.
-Ranging from $50-75 per image

If you want prints, printing rights are not included in the session fee and you would order prints through JBP so we know you are receiving the highest quality of prints.
